What we do

Wood loses to weather. Unless somebody steps in.

South Carolina sun and humidity gray bare wood out fast and rot follows right behind, whatever the project. We stop that clock and keep it stopped.

Fence Staining

One of our mainstays. Both sides or one, rails, caps, and gates included in the quote. The fence you paid good money for keeps its color and sheds water for years.

Deck and Porch Staining

Floors, rails, stairs, and pergolas. Bring back the color, kill the splinters, and make it the spot you actually want to sit in the evening.

Wash and Prep

Every job starts clean. Mildew, gray fiber, and old failing finish come off before a drop of stain goes on. Prep is where staining jobs are won or lost.

Seal and Re-Seal

Commercial grade penetrating stain that soaks in and seals instead of sitting on top and peeling. When it's time for the next coat, we handle that too.

The Protection Plan

We don't stain it and disappear.

Most companies stain your project, cash the check, and you never see them again. Ours is built different. After the initial stain job, the Protection Plan takes over and your wood stays looked after year round.

  • On-call repair stops. See a board let go or a loose cap? Call us and we come swap it within your allowance. No schedule for you to keep up with.
  • Boards covered as wood ages. Normal wear like warped or split pickets gets swapped and stained to match, built right into the plan.
  • A full re-seal every cycle. Every plan cycle ends with a complete prep and re-seal, so the fence doesn't slide back to bare gray. Then the next cycle starts and it stays that way.
  • One flat monthly number. No surprise invoices. You're done buying from-scratch restains.
How it works

Four steps. No runaround.

Walk It and Quote It

We look at the actual project, measure it, and hand you one written number. What we quote is what you pay.

Wash and Prep

The wood gets cleaned back to a surface stain can actually bond to. No staining over mildew and gray fiber.

Stain and Seal

Commercial grade stain, applied right, edges cut clean, your yard left cleaner than we found it.

The Plan Takes Over

Enroll in the Protection Plan the day we finish and your wood stays maintained from then on. Set it and forget it.

Pick your color

Stain colors on real projects.

Every project takes color a little different. Here is how our go-to colors look on real wood, from light golden tones to deep browns and gray. Not sure which one fits your place? Send us a picture of your project and we will talk it through.

Questions we get a lot

My wood is brand new. When should it be stained?

Sooner than most people think. New wood starts taking sun and water damage the day it goes up. Once it's dry enough to accept stain, sealing it early is the cheapest protection it will ever get. Send us a picture and we'll tell you straight whether it's ready.

How long does stain last in South Carolina?

Around here, sun and humidity work on bare wood all year, and most finishes start giving up noticeably by the two year mark. That's exactly why we built the Protection Plan. Instead of guessing when it's time, the schedule handles it.

What product do you use?

Commercial grade penetrating oil stain that soaks into the wood and seals it instead of forming a film that peels. It's the product we trust on our own projects, picked specifically for how it holds up in SC weather.

Do I need to be home while you work?

No. As long as we can reach the work area and any gates are unlocked, you can go about your day. You'll hear from us when we start and when we wrap up.

What exactly does the Protection Plan cover?

On-call repair stops for normal aging of the wood like warped or split boards within the plan allowances, plus a complete prep and re-seal at the end of every cycle. We'll walk you through the full terms in plain English before you sign anything.
